At $850,000 to $1,000,000 a new ladder truck would cost $28,000 to $33,000 a year over 30 years (I don't know how long ladder trucks are kept as front line trucks but this truck is replacing a 1998 which is only 21 years old). If trucks are replaced after 25 years that's $34,000 to $40,000 a year.

At $26,000 this purchase sounds like a good investment. Congratulations to the people that made this happen.
