Same person, 1 account. Drop down under "Your name: is different depending on the technology I am using to comment. My thoughts are still valid even under my user name. Pick either one - they are both me. I don't bother finger pointing or name calling because it serves zero purpose. I am only interested in facts, numbers and evidence. Without it, everything else is just white noise.

I have no desire to compromise the integrity of our firefighters. I have nothing but respect for the work they do. My issue is really with the union leadership and the former administration. The side deal was really nothing more than a shell game. If it was approved as other contractual issues no one would be raising a red flag. My concern is making sure the practice of side deals is stopped. Any and all deals should follow the process and be reviewed by our leadership in an open and transparent manner. I think that is only fair considering the compensation isn't coming from a for-profit private sector. It is coming from the citizens of Warwick.

I think the time of doing the same thing just because it was always done that way is over. We need to start fresh. Review everything (all sectors, not just the WFD) with new eyes. We need to find better, more efficient ways of doing business. Let's be accountable to our stockholders - the taxpayers! We can make it happen. We just have to work together and throw out personal agendas.
