Jon the city council did not vote on the concessions by all 3 unions. That was a side deal between the mayor and unions and it was well publicized. So according to Cote all side deals are considered illegal. I’m just wondering if this will be recalculated to all 3 unions both retired and not.
It has to do with weekly pay, holidays, overtime, details, sick time, etc.
All are tied into everyone’s salary so I’m sure 5% reimbursement will help many.
Where were the present day accusers back then when the unions helped the city ?
By the way the teachers didn’t make any concessions back then to the dismay of the other 3 unions.
