Although weather conditions at this time of year don’t favor clear skies in northern Vermont, viewing a total eclipse was not an opportunity Lorraine Potter-Cooper and her sister wanted to pass up. In anticipation of heavy traffic on Monday, the day of the eclipse, they left Warwick for the Barre/Montpelier area on Sunday. As it turned out, they had perfect conditions, but plans to record the eclipse didn’t work out. However, at the moment of totality her “regular” camera came though with this shot. The next venture she and her sister plan is to visit a glacier, “before they all melt.” (Photo by Lorraine Potter-Cooper, Warwick)
