Bengt Erik Mattsson, 90, of Warwick, RI, a native of Skane, Sweden, left this world after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Friday, March 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gun Barbro (Lindberg) Mattsson for 64 years. He was the son of the late Verner and Olga (Jonsson) Mattsson of Sweden.

Bengt was born in Ostana Skane, Sweden and traveled to the USA at the age of 20 but would make frequent trips back to Sweden. Besides his wife, he leaves behind two daughters, Anita Bevans and son-in-law Fred III and Karin Andrews. He was the precious ‘Morfar’ to two wonderful grandsons, Fred T. Bevans IV and Kristopher Erik Bevans. He had 4 brothers, the late Einar, Bertile and Arnold Mattsson and their families and is survived by Lennart Mattsson and his family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9-11am followed by a Funeral Ceremony at 11am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
