Grace D. (Homic) Habershaw 95, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Habershaw. Born in Woonsocket, Grace was the daughter of the late Stephen R. and Emily (Ramsey) Homic.
Grace was a Financial Secretary for many years, then working as a receptionist in and Optometrists office prior to her retirement.
Grace graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. She loved her Red Sox, spending time with her family, shopping, traveling, and dancing at the Admiral Inn. Grace was a long-time parishioner of Sts. Rose & Clements Church.
Grace is survived by her loving sons, Robert Habershaw and his wife Maggie of Johnston, and David Habershaw of Warwick. She leaves her adoring grandchildren, Jared, Christian, Zoe, Tessa Habershaw, Tamaya Almeida, and her great granddaughter Kianna Marfeo. Grace also leaves her daughter-in-law Beth Habershaw. She was the mother of the late Gerald Habershaw. She was the sister of the late Stephen Homic, Cecilia Caine, and Margaret Minkema.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Visitation will be Friday December 8, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers donation in Grace’s name may be made to Ss. Rose and Clements Church, 111 Long St. Warwick, RI 02886, or St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
