Amaya Coffie started off 2023 in style, helping the Pilgrim girls basketball team win the state championship. Coffie was a key piece to the team’s run and was its top perimeter defender and did some of her best work in the title game against Narragansett, as the Pats defense held the Mariners to just 19 points. Coffie returned to the soccer field in the fall with big expectations as one of the state’s most potent scorers and lived up to the hype, leading Pilgrim back to the playoffs while leading the team with a whopping 32 goals.
