In this day and age, to have WFD at 220 fire persons versus 173 police officers IS A JOKE. The people and companies setting firefighter manadtory standards/requirements are a part of the firefighter union scam. The people running these firms, and study groups are mostly ex firefighters, related, or better yet being paid off to make requirements higher than necessary. Mayor, and Council should, by attrition or whatever means necessary, shift the WPD to 220 and make WFD 170 or less. We all know they won't because of reelection fears. Not because it shouldn't be done immediately. Go to three platoons and CUT staffing requirements for one example. Usually when they go to fires, the complexes/buildings burn to the ground anyway..lol
