The Rocky Point fishing and observation pier being built by Pare Corporation for the Department of Environmental Management is nearing the final phase of construction. The project, which includes a shelter at the T-portion of the pier, is to be completed by the end of this year. Work taking place on Tuesday included the installation of railing posts in preparation for the decking. The project involved the removal of the remnants of the former pier that was severely damaged by storms and the driving of 122 new piles. (Warwick Beacon photos)
