The defending champion Bishop Hendricken hockey team flew out the gate this regular season by thrashing visiting North Kingstown 11-0. Hendricken had 11 different goal scorers including Griffin Crain, Aiden Craft, Ben Tamul, Nick Stevens, Sebastian Rothemich, Devin Exter, Cullen Crain, Nate Marshall, Colton Simas, Mason Crain and James Carrara.
Colin Murray saved all four shots faced in net while Griffin Crain also added three assists.
Moses Brown 1, Pilgrim 0
The Pats were shut out in their regular season opener last week. Braxton Bragg had a strong outing in net, stopping 18 of 19 shots faced.
GIRLS HOCKEY
East Bay 5, Warwick 2
The Lady Titans dropped their season opener against East Bay. Georgia Feld and Ayla Paley each scored goals while Marcelia Santoro recorded an assist.
BOYS BASKETBALL
South Kingstown 62, Pilgrim 48
The Rebel offense dominated in Pilgrim’s season opener, leading to an SK win. Carter Clifton led the Pats with 15 points scored.
