Rykodisc producer Jeff Rougvie will give a talk on his 10-year collaboration with David Bowie at Warwick Library on Wednesday, January 24 at 7 p.m.
From 1988-1997, Rougvie worked with Bowie to re-release Bowie's remarkable run of albums from “Space Oddity” to “Ziggy Stardust” to “Scary Monsters.” At the time, Bowie was endeavoring to regain his artistic footing after a decade when "my lack of interest in my own work was starting to show."
Rougvie will offer a unique perspective on Bowie's history and his struggle to find new artistic challenges in an era of triumphs, misfires and, ultimately, success. For more information call 739-5440, x9758. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
