It would appear that incumbent Congressman Jim Langevin and his Republican opponent Sal Caiozzo will appear face-to-face in a debate, but just when hasn’t been determined.
Last week, Caiozzo in a press release urged, “In the name of honesty and transparency, Congressman Jim Langevin should agree to public debate to better inform voters.”
In response, Mike DeAngelis, Langevin’s campaign manager, said, “Congressman Langevin has always been willing to debate his opponents and has every intention of doing so for this upcoming election. As a matter of fact, Congressman Langevin has been asked to participate in two debates with his Republican opponent and has already agreed to do so.”
In his release Caiozzo said, “This election year is ‘a time for choosing’ for all Rhode Islanders, and voters deserve to be fully informed not simply on future policies but explanations for recent votes, such as voting against the recent tax cuts.”

I am underwhelmed at the lack of actual news in this article. It would have made a bigger impact if you waited to submit it once a date had been set.

I spoke to Seth at Congressman Jim Langevin's office yesterday. I told him to put a "Langevin for Congress" sign on my front lawn at 1115 Greenwich Ave. and told him that he and Jim were the 2 most honorable of all the Democrats that I interacted with over the last four years.
My dealings with Jim and his office were honest and productive, and have been since Jim attended the Grand Opening of Bankers Mortgage in 1999. Others "promised" they would be at my Grand Opening and the fundraisers of the last few years. Congressman Langevin promised and actually showed up!
He, and Seth are men of their word, a rare commodity in politics. I support Langevin 100% and ask any of my supporters to give him their support as well.
Happy Autumn everyone.

The two-time loser makes another series of humiliating comments, wrongly thinking that they count for anything.
He can only dream of having the support and record of success as Congressman Langevin.
He will only continue to make an embarrassing spectacle of himself while honest, taxpaying voters have a happy autumn knowing we were 100% correct in rejecting his candidacy a second time on Sept. 12.
