James W. Fatkin Jr., 72, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Goff) Fatkin.
Born in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late James W. Fatkin, Sr. and Thelma (Holmes) Athey.
James worked as a Senior Quality Engineer and Supplier Quality Manager for Eaton Aerospace in Warwick before retiring. Following retirement, he owned and operated his own business, AirAudits, LLC, performing industrial quality system audits. His certifications include RAB-QSA, ASQ-CQA, Air Academy SSGB. James was an active member of RIASQ and served on the executive board as Exam Chair. He was also a member of the Financial Audit Committee.
James was the loving father of Tana R. Murphy and her husband, James P. Murphy II; devoted Grumpy of Paige Murphy and Grant Murphy. He was a devoted friend of the Muhlbach and Murphy families.
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
