Holiday Bazaars, Festivals and Craft Shows

Dec. 2, City of Warwick Christmas Tree Lighting will be on Sat., Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at Thayer Arena, 975 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Entry to this event is free. Carolers, ice carving demo, dance performance, synchronized skating performance, crafts & games for children, popcorn, hot chocolate & donuts, pictures with Santa, costumed characters and more! Free ice skating begins at 6 p.m. with donation of non-perishable food item. Food Trucks will be available from 5 to 7:30 p.m.  Come join the fun!

Dec 2, Whisker Wonderland will be sponsored by the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals on Sat., Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 155 Plan Way, Warwick.  Market place, holiday photos, crafts and donation drive. 

Dec. 2, Holiday Bazaar Spring Green Memorial Church will be held on Sat., Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 1350 Warwick Ave., Warwick.  Crafters, jewelry, a penny social of gift cards, bake table children’s grab bags and a café for lunch at reasonable prices.  Tables are available for crafters to rent for $15 each.  Any interested crafter can contact the church at 401-463-8329 from 10 a.m. to noon, Tues. thru Fri. to rent a table.

Dec. 2, Tri-City Elks Holiday Craft Show will be held on Sat., Dec. 2, from  10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Tri City Elks Lodge #14, 1915 W. Shore Rd. Warwick, Lower Level. There is an entrance around back with Handicap Parking. Come and enjoy some holiday shopping with plenty of local vendors. Support Small Businesses this holiday season.

Dec. 2, Moosup Valley Holiday Concert and Tree Lighting will be held on Sat., Dec. 2, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Moosup Valley Church, 81 Moosup Valley Rd., Foster.  Features popular folk duo, Atwater/Donnelly, performing ancient and new carols. Dec. 2, Old-Fashioned Christmas Bazaar will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Ave., Warwick, Sat., Dec., 2, 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Laurie Linden at 401- 739-2937

Dec. 2, Holliman Winter Bazaar will be on Sat., Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Holliman School, 70 Deborah Rd., Warwick.  Free admission, raffles & refreshments for purchase with many amazing vendors.

Dec. 2 & 3, Open Table of Christ United Methodist Church Holiday Bazaar will be held on Sat., Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1520 Broad Street, Providence.  Featuring Children’s Pancake Breakfast with Santa at 10 a.m. $3 per child, 4 – children $10.  11 a.m. to 12 p.m. take your own picture with Santa.  Children’s gift shop & wrapping station, bake table, wish table (drawing at 1 p.m.).  Food available.  Open closet with clothing, holiday items and jewelry.  More information:  Helen 401-864-9603.

Dec. 2 & 3, Christmas at the Castle will be held at Smith’s Castle, 55 Richard Smith Drive, North Kingstown, from noon to 4 p.m. No pre-registration is required. Admission costs $8 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and nothing for children younger than 6, with an overall cap of $25 per family. Entertainment includes puppeteer Dan Butterworth, the Wheeler School Concert Bellringer, the Brown Madrigal Singers and Songs and Stories by Anne Marie Forer and Sheila Reynolds. Anyone bringing canned goods for donations to the North Kingstown Food Pantry will receive a 10% discount on purchases at their Christmas bazaar.

Dec. 2 & 3, The Annual Winter Bazaar will be held at The First Congregational Church of Warwick, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick, on Sat., Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sun., Dec. 3, from 12 to 6 p.m.  There is still available space for rent for vendors and crafters.  $25 for 1-day and $40 for 2-days.  Contact: Stefani Capuano, Stefanicapuano@yahoo.com or 401-999-9473 or The First Congregational Church of Warwick 401-738-3377.

Dec. 3, Winter Wonderland Craft Fair will be held on Sun., Dec. 3, at the Knights of Columbus, 475 Sandy Lane, Warwick from 12 to 4 p.m. Over 25 crafters and vendors.  Grab a bite to eat while you shop! Dec. 3, Herald in Ye Yuletide Season with Ye Pawtuxet Rangers on Sun., Dec. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Amory Hall, 59 Remington Street, Warwick.  Fish House Punch will be served, and the traditional Youl Log is offered.  Please join the festivities!

Dec. 8, North Scituate Baptist Church Winter Farmer’s Market will be held on Fri., Dec. 8, from 4 to 9 p.m. at The North Scituate Baptist Church, 619 West Greenville Road. Shared sponsorship during the Christmas in the Village Festival of Trees Event. There will be baked goods, beverages and a “Holiday Treasures Table.”

Dec. 9. The Strolling Rolling Apponaug Winter Festival will be held on Sat., Dec. 9, in Apponaug Square, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Holiday parade will step off at 10 a.m. vendors, food trucks, live music, horse and carriage rides, balloon art, face painting, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and many more family-friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt! Stay tuned for more details about parade route. There will also be hourly giveaways for people who enter their name that day or register online. The first 500 people to register will receive a holiday magnetic picture frame – perfect for your Santa photo, which you can have taken right at the Santa Station at the festival! Also, by registering you automatically are entered for a chance to WIN a Winter Getaway, which includes a two-night stay in Warwick with $100 shopping gift card and $100 card for Apponaug Brewery.  Rain date will be Dec. 10, with no parade.

Dec. 9, Winter Celebration, will be held at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 550 Fair Street Warwick (Gaspee area, just off Narragansett Pkwy) on Sat., Dec. 9, at 4:30 p.m. Winter Celebration! For Kids and adults! Crafting, songs, and cider to celebrate winter season in a cheerful way!

Dec. 10, 44th Annual Christmas Festival in Pawtuxet Village will be held on Sun., Dec. 10:  Service at Trinity Episcopal Church, Ocean Avenue, Cranston, at 4 p.m. Procession down Broad Street in Pawtuxet Village led by the Pawtuxet Rangers to Pawtuxet Park at 4:45 p.m. Lighting of the Village Christmas Tree in Pawtuxet Park, Warwick at 5:00 p.m. Join the Rangers and your neighbors for the tree lighting, and firing of the cannon!  Bring your lanterns or flashlights and singing voices.
