Dunkin’ supports Food Bank

Posted

Following a volunteer day featuring Foundation staff and local Dunkin’ franchise owners, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation supported by Dunkin’, surprised the Rhode Island Community Food Bank with a $50,000 donation. The donation comes as the foundation celebrates 10 years of volunteer-powered assistance in support of hunger relief across the country. To mark its first full decade of operations, the foundation has committed an additional $1 million to childhood hunger assistance programming. “All of us at Dunkin’ are always proactively seeking opportunities to give back to the communities in which we work, live and raise our families,” said local Dunkin’ franchise owner Rob Batista. “Through the Joy in Childhood Foundation, we are proud to support the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and we applaud this organization’s incredible team for the life-changing work they are leading across the state every day.” In unison with Inspire Brand’s “Good Citizen’s Month” this April, the Joy in Childhood Foundation is hosting more than 100 volunteer events with nearly 2,000 Dunkin’ franchisees and crew members volunteering their time nationwide.
