Gloria P. D’Alfonso, 84, died Saturday, November 18, 2023. She was the beloved wife for 53 years of the late Robert A. D’Alfonso, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Grazia (Fusco) Guglielmo. Gloria had worked for many years in the jewelry industry, retiring from Monet Jewelers in the early 90’s. She was a communicant of Sts. Rose & Clement Parish, and a member of its Rosary and Altar Guild. Gloria devoted her life to her faith and the care of her family. Gloria enjoyed gardening, watching Hallmark movies, and reminiscing about winter vacations in Naples, FL. She is survived by her children Maria Dutra (Paul), Robert D’Alfonso, Jr. (Margaret), Lori Faragalli (Gary), John D’Alfonso (Marcy) and is predeceased by her son, Joseph D’Alfonso; her grandchildren Christine Martin (Robert), Kathleen Brekenfeld (Zachary), Robert D’Alfonso, III (Marla), Sean D’Alfonso (Stephanie), Joseph D’Alfonso, Gary Faragalli (Brittany), Domenic D’Alfonso (Isabella), Isabella Ulvestad (Aaron), Mina D’Alfonso and the late Gloria Faragalli; great grandmother of Rosalie, Alex, Callie, Audrey, Cameron, Annie and Robert, IV (Robby). She was a sister of the late Alfonso Guglielmo, Henry Guglielmo, Mary Caruso and Eva Maksymowicz.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 10am in Sts. Rose and Clement Church, Long St., Warwick, and to the internment at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hasbro’s The Tomorrow Fund, Physicians Office Building, 110 Lockwood St, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
