This story is so sickening and very sad. I pray the remaining children are adopted into caring, loving families for the rest of their lives. Agreeing with Mr. Simoneau, it appears obvious money may have been a motivating factor; perhaps upward to $100,000 a year including food stamps, rent subsidy, health care, and other. I disagree with the slandering of teachers. To quote, "like teachers, not about the kids anymore". John Simoneau Sr.
Perhaps Ms. Rothgeb suffers mental illness, has physical ailments or an addiction; but obviously, her actions and behaviors will be judged by the highest authority. She is being held at the ACI on $25,000 bail, and her day in court will decide her fate.
DCYF holding staff accountable and making additional changes to policy, may or may not prevent future tragedies.
