The debate was a very informative representation of what we should expect from these candidates, all of which seem qualified to sit on the School Committee. I strongly recommend that before anyone votes, they view the airing on public service TV to make an informed decision in November.

As for district one, I think Kyle Adams was the respectful runner up to Rick Cascella's experience, accomplishments, and name recognition.

As for district two, it was Judy Cobden that easily won the night over Terri Medieros. Cobden earned loud, spontaneous applause twice from an audience that was told to refrain from it. She showed a true and honest passion for Warwick students and their families. She showed leadership and the audience responded.

District three hands-down winner was Nathan Cornell for two reasons. First, his answers were the clearest of any candidate and second, his opponent, Corey Smith, didn't even bother to show up! One has to believe that if Smith doesn't have time for an all-important debate, how could he find time for other issues; like School Committee meetings!? And City Council meetings? The same meetings that Cornell has a constant presence in. Nathan has certainly earned the right to serve.

The School Committee will have a totally new look in 2019. I for one believe it will be an upgrade.

Congratulations to The Warwick Beacon for another great service they have given to the Warwick citizens by sponsoring this debate.

Congratulations to all the candidates who participated. You all were prepared and gave intelligent answers.

Everyone, please watch this debate.

Happy Autumn everyone.
