I cannot believe the Beacon fell for this. 3D printed guns are not easy to make. They still require metal parts, which set off magnetometers in airports. They are not very reliable for shooting multiple rounds. They are incredibly expensive to make on a 3D printer, costing about 2,000 for a semi-reliable weapon. Also, you can legally make a non-traceable METAL gun at home if you have the machinery and wherewithal. Yes, its true. Why would a criminal make a plastic gun when he can make a real gun that has no serial number? More correctly, why would a criminal do either thing when guns are so readily available in the country? This whole 3D issue is nonsensical.
