Captain,

several years ago you claimed (with no evidence) that the wfd was using virtually no sick leave and that this was proof of a scheme of FFs using COS to bank sick days to be monetized at a later date. When you received a years worth of shift sheets that proved this claim false you pivoted to the "destruction" of COS forms. I urge you to consider occam's razor when evaluating this situation. which situation seems more likely: a vast criminal conspiracy to defraud taxpayers that permeates every level of the FD upto and including the Chief of the Department and the willful and knowing destruction of government records to cover it up...or they were thrown away because nobody saw the need to keep them since all pertinent information (who worked what for who and when) was already retained on the shift sheet.

Now I don't claim to know what the AG's office said to the department. Maybe they are retaining COS forms going forward. But I do know that the AG doesn't hold your view that anything nefarious was taking place or we would have heard something about it.

And for the last time: VACATION DAYS CAN NOT BE BANKED!!!! its clear as day in the contract. pg 20 if you're lazy
