Clearly you do not understand what Thronton's role in Warwick is. Check his record.
He was hired in NK to clean house, get rid of the dead weight in admin and the classroom and he did it. Entrenched hacks were shown the door. Then Cumberland came calling and he went in there, fired a bunch of admin and dead weight teachers and helped get that system moving in the right direction. Now he's here. He's fired a bunch of central admin staff, and now he's taking on the WTU who has no idea how to handle this guy. They're so used to pushing around the admin & school committee that they don't understand why stomping their feet and holding their breath isn't working anymore.
The guy is a hired gun. He's Mr. Wolf. He'll get rid of useless administrators, fire inept teachers and then the next town will come knocking looking for him to do the same for them. In 3-5 years (total) he'll be firing inept people in another town. And he doesn't care what you or anyone else thinks of him, check the record and you'll understand his plan.
