I don't know, ThatGuy, Bg seems too invested in his behavior to be doing some type of performance art. You also have to admit, it's not all that artistic.
That said, given the way that every statement of his disintegrated, there's reason to believe he's a teacher who is not used to actual scrutiny. Consider that their "evaluations" need only be done once per year, involve only the department head in the classroom in the case of high school teachers, and can not include review of their subject competence without 24-hour notice to the teacher.
