Report Inappropriate Comments

Comparing the angry mobs at school committee meetings with Facebook commenters? That's quite a reach, editorial writer, particularly given the documented activities of the union.

Here's one flaw with this comparison: While one could not claim there is a coordinated and organized effort behind the Facebook comments, there certainly was one behind the summertime pickets, the school committee meeting disruptions, and, yes, the coordinated sick-outs.

To his credit, the editorial writer does point out that it's not all of the teachers engaging in these activities. Problem is, the ones who are have hijacked the contract process and created this mess. A bunch of Facebook comments didn't do this, and can't reasonably be considered a factor in the teachers' behavior.

A good attempt at a call for decency, though. A+ for effort.
