William D. Crowell, age 66, of Lindy Avenue, Warwick, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Kathleen M. Preston.
Born in Providence, the son of William R. Crowell of Jamestown and Ruth M. (Beckett) Abbott of Warwick, he was a lifelong Warwick resident. Mr. Crowell was a truck mechanic for over 30 years, and was employed for many of those years at J.L. Marshall Contractors in Seekonk. He retired in 2018. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Barbara-Jean Lynch of West Warwick.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 13, for 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m., in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
