DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Just after 5:30 p.m. on June 24, Officer Ryan E. Shibley responded to the sea wall on Oakland Beach Avenue for a report of a fight in progress.
At the scene, Shibley met with other officers who had managed to separate the parties involved. A witness told police that he had observed two women involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight. Officers also spoke with the two women, who reportedly offered differing accounts of the incident.
Ciara M. Celmente, 22, 44 Bennett St., third floor, Woonsocket, and Jessica C. Homen, 19, 173 Princeton Ave., Coventry, were each arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and transported to Warwick Police headquarters for processing. Both were later released with a summons to appear in Third Division District Court.
LARCENY
At approximately 8:13 a.m. on July 2, Officer David O. Thompson responded to a North Marlborough Street home for a larceny complaint.
At the scene, the reporting party indicated that the door of a convertible in the home’s driveway had been locked at approximately 5 p.m. on July 1. When the reporting party returned to the vehicle on the morning of July 2, the driver’s door was unlocked and the “rear window of the convertible was pushed in and out of the seat from the top.”
No items of value were missing. The incident was documented. *** On July 2 at approximately 8 p.m., Officer Ryan E. Shibley responded to Harbor Lights Marina at 200 Gray St. for a report of larceny from a boat.
At the scene, the reporting party told Shibley he had placed five fishing rods with a total value of $1,825 in his boat at around noon on June 29. When he returned to the boat on the evening of July 1, the rods were missing. A pair of sunglasses valued at $25 had also been taken. Surveillance video was sought and the incident was documented.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
On July 1 at 6:50 p.m., Officer Jacob T. Elderkin was on patrol in the area of 1000 Bald Hill Road when he observed a 2006 Chrysler 300 with an unrestrained child inside.
A records check found that the vehicle’s registration plates did not match the vehicle, and Elderkin initiated a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the nearby Panera location.
A subsequent check revealed that the operator’s license was suspended and that he had at least three prior convictions for driving with a suspended license.
David Vlado, 33, 7 Touro St., Apt. 1B, Providence, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license, third or subsequent offense, and transported to Warwick Police headquarters for processing.
Vlado was additionally cited for misuse of plates and having an unrestrained child in a vehicle. He was later released with a summons to appear in Third Division District Court.
