Thomas G. Healey, 90 passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Sunny View Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Irene M. (Tierney) Healey.

He was a son of the late Thomas G. and Theresa (Hart) Healey. Mr. Healey was employed as a compositor for the Providence Journal for 35 years, retiring in 1980. He was also employed for the Kent County Superior Court as a Case Scheduling Manager for 14 years. He served as a Commissioner on the Warwick Housing Authority for 13 years, five of those years as chairman, a member of the Warwick Sewer Authority, former Chairman/Treasurer of the 18th Democratic Senatorial Commission and the 37th Democratic Representative Committee. He was a member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club and a frequent swimmer at McDermott Pool in Warwick. Mr. Healey served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a communicate of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was a Winter resident of Boynton Beach, FL.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Elizabeth Healey Teixeira and her husband Cesar, one son John T. Healey; one granddaughter Megan Teixeira. He was a brother of the late Madeline O’Keefe and Eileen Griffin.

His funeral will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church Jefferson Blvd at 10:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
