(Crime drama)

Matthew McConaughey stars as Mickey, a suave, calculating American who has built a marijuana growing and distribution dynasty in London. When Mickey decides that it is time to get out of the business and sell to the highest bidder, all kinds of shady characters come into his life with all kinds of deals.

His story is told by a writer to one of his compatriots, with a wide range of twists and turns that at times seem discombobulated, if not out of sync. The plot is filled with violence, distrust, greed and backstabbing. Sometimes it is slick, other times it is crude.

If you can follow the English accents and phrases and the confusing editing, you may at least enjoy McConaughey's acting.

Rated a big R, with violence and profanity.
