The great loss of the Rossi family business Phred’s Drug is just that, a great loss. Coming from my point of view, it’s a great loss to the community as well.

Thank you, everybody, that made your business what it was. On a personal note, thank you for the kind words at a very difficult time. Thank you to everybody: people who unload the merchandise to stock it, to the people who sold the stamps, Powerball, alcohol and the pharmacy. My time there was at the pharmacy. Thank you, everybody, for the phone calls, trying to read hieroglyphics, proto-Sinaitic scripts. Thank you for going beyond the call of duty. Your staff knew people coming in there by their first names or their last. Always a hello or a hey; always going out of their way to keep the people happy and safe. Thank you all for your time and patience, you are all very, very much missed.

Thank you, Rossi family, for having the number of professionals behind the pharmacy, which at other places is highly overlooked and understaffed. People rely upon their medications, sometimes in a heartbeat.

I don’t want to leave out the other people in the store who are just as valuable. I’m not the only one saying that and missing you guys. You all set the bar that will never again be attainable.

    Dear David Cook,

I agree with all your thoughts. The customer service at Phreds was the best of any store of any kind for the 40 +- years I shopped there.

I just thought that should be added in.

    Happy St. Patricks David Cook

    Happy St Patricks everyone.
