Silveira returns to Greenwich Farms as executive director

After eight years, Linda Silveira has returned to where her career at Benchmark, a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, began. Silveira has resumed the leadership role at Greenwich Farms at Warwick, a premier assisted living and memory care community. Most recently, she served as executive director for a sister community, Capitol Ridge at Providence in Providence.

Throughout her career at Benchmark, Silveira’s passion for seniors, which began in elementary school, as well as her desire to keep them connected to what matters most in their lives, has earned her a place as the executive director of five Benchmark communities. But it’s her love of the Warwick community that brought her back to Greenwich Farms.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with people in some amazing communities, but there is something very special about Greenwich Farms. It feels good to come home again, and I look forward to developing lasting relationships with residents, families and associates in our pursuit of only the very best for everyone we serve,” says Silveira.

In 2014, while executive director of The Atrium at Faxon Woods in Quincy, Mass., she was the recipient of the Benchmark President’s Award for superior leadership at the senior management level and for modeling the company’s mission and values, including the vision to create meaningful human connections.

Prior to joining Benchmark in 2010, Silveira served as executive director for Atria Aquidneck Place in Portsmouth, R.I. for eight years. She received an MBA in health care administration from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree in biology from College of the Holy Cross. She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Director of Assisted Living. In her free time, she serves as vice chair of the Rhode Island Assisted Living Association (RIALA) and is an instructor for the RIALA Administrator Training Program, which trains and certifies assisted living administrators in the state. She lives in Swansea, Mass., with her husband and has two children.

“Linda’s love for seniors shows every day, and she strives to be the absolute best for our residents, families and associates,” says Justin Grady, regional director of operations for Benchmark. “We are excited to have her energy, enthusiasm and creativity back at Greenwich Farms and for her to make her mark on the community.”
