Scott Howard Macreading, 30, of Warwick, died unexpectedly on December 23, 2020.

Born and raised in Warwick, he was the son of Patti A. (Brown) Macreading and the late Mark H. Macreading. Scott was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School, Class of 2008, and went on to study English at CCRI. He worked locally in the food and restaurant industry. Most recently, he was employed at Dave’s Market in a position that he loved and he believed in as an essential worker. His true love was music. A member of many local bands going back to his Junior High years at Gorton, he was most recently the bassist for Providence band, The Bendays, and was immensely proud of their record release this months. He mainly played guitar, piano and bass – but he could pick up any instrument and make something beautiful.

Scott was a loyal friend, dedicated son, hard worker, sensitive soul and a million other things he’s be too embarrassed to read. Scott kept things short, sweet, sarcastic and fun. He will be missed more than he could have imagined during his far-too-short lifetime.

He was the beloved brother of Sarah J. Macreading and her husband, Jose G. Diaz. He is also survived by his greatest joy, his beloved cat, Ellie. He treated her like a little queen.

Scott’s family and close friends will celebrate his life along with that of his recently passed father this summer by the ocean. Specifics are pending due to the Pandemic.
