Warwick native Emily Sara Williamson was conferred her Doctorate of Psychology in clinical psychology: concentration in neuropsychology, this month from William James College (Newton, Mass., formerly the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology). Dr. Williamson grew up in Oakland Beach and attended Warwick Veterans Memorial High School as an AP student, graduating in 2006 with induction into the National Honors Society. Including semester abroad studies at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in spring 2009, Emily earned her B.A. degree, cum laude from Wheaton college in 2010, majoring in psychobiology/minoring in chemistry & English, as a member of Psi Chi (National Psychology Honors Society). She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Bay Pines V.A. Healthcare System in Bay Pines, Florida before going on to William James College. Currently, she is beginning her postdoctoral fellowship (residency) in clinical neuropsychology at the Memphis V.A. Medical Center in Tennessee, in partnership with the Semmes-Murphey Neurologic and Spine Institute, and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
