Conditions couldn’t have been better for St. Rose of Lima School fundraising walk Friday morning that took the lower grade students around the block and back to the school yard while the older students and faculty, with a police patrol ensuring the safe crossing of West Shore Road, set out for City Park. After making the round at City Park, they got back to a lunch of Piezoini’s Pizza – always a hit with the kids – chips and lemonade. There were games to follow. The walk raised more than $6,000, which will help offset school costs and stabilize tuition.
