Antonio Riccio, a senior at Pilgrim High School, has been involved in Boy Scouts since 2011. He was a member of Cub Scout Pack ???? in Apponaug until he joined Troop 1 Conimicut in 2013. He worked on his advancement under Scoutmaster Peter Bianco until he transferred to Troop 1 Warwick under Scoutmaster Ed Turner, where Antonio is now Senior Patrol Leader. For his Eagle project, Antonio chose to help out Operation Stand Down, which provides assistance to homeless veterans. He had to organize and lead his effort at various local merchants who were kind enough to allow him and his peers to collect donations from the public. Recently, he dropped off six large boxes of non-perishables and toiletries at Operation Stand Down offices in Johnston. Antonio lives with his mom Karen, his sister Julie and stepfather Peter Roberts in Oakland Beach. He is pictured here with the delivery of food to Operation Stand Down. (Submitted photo)
