Motorists traveling south on West Shore Road won’t have any question as to when they’re entering Conimicut Village. When completed, the new sign will be solar powered and have a flowerbed enclosure, reports Lonnie Barham of the village association. Virginia Barham, his wife and president of the village association, said the sign would be used to advertise association meetings and village activities. The sign that cost about $5,500 is part of the village master plan and was paid for with association funding and a grant. Plans are to have a second sign for motorists entering the village from the south once a site has been identified. (Photo courtesy of Lonnie Barham)
