Colonel Hugh T. Clements Jr. (center), Chief of the Providence Police Department, accepted an award from Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin (left) upon his induction into the 2018 Rhode Island Criminal Justice Hall of Fame. Colonel Steven Pare (right), Providence's Public Safety Commissioner and a 2014 Rhode Island Criminal Justice Hall of Fame inductee, delivered the induction remarks for Clements. Approximately 300 guests attended the ceremony held recently at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, during which Clements and six other individuals were honored for their work to improve and uphold the criminal justice system in Rhode Island. Clements is a resident of Warwick.
