Getting a jump on spring

City yard waste collections started this week and there was already lots to pick up. This non-winter, coupled with coronavirus precautions that has people staying at home, has resulted in earlier than usual yard work. The result is that bins and bags of leaves, branches and dead grass are at curbside across the city. That hasn’t daunted city crews who have gotten into the swing of the spring cleanup. The awaiting bags were pictured on Narragansett Parkway; the pickup crew was working Bellman Avenue. (Warwick Beacon photos)
