On April 28, the Autism Project held their 17th Annual Imagine Walk in Goddard Park in Warwick. The rain held off in time for thousands of people of all ages and abilities to participate. Funds raised through the Imagine Walk go directly towards programs, services and training for children, teens and adults living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, caretakers and those that work with them. On hand after the walk were festivities including games, inflatables and entertainment. Many teams, such as Team Alex from Warwick, reserved space at the park for a cookout for the team. Alex Amedeo is 18 years old and lives with autism and loves working on the computer. The Autism Project is located at 1516 Atwood Ave. in Johnston and can be reached at 785-2666.
