Ruth F. (Murdock) Johnson, age 94, of Warwick, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Greenwood Center, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl G. Johnson.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Carlson) Murdock. She was a secretary for numerous years employed by AMICA; after marriage she went on to become a homemaker. Ruth was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
An avid lover of the outdoors, she maintained beautiful gardens, loved to fish and there wasn’t a person better to bait your hook than Ruthie. She was also pretty handy with a rifle, which helped her keep her yard free of unwanted pests.
She is survived by her cousins, Kenneth, Raymond and Steve Carlsen and Beverly Rogers.
Her graveside service will be held Monday June 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, 389 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886. Everyone is asked to go directly to the cemetery. For additional information and online condolences please visit www.carpnterjenks.com.
