Russell D. Sprague Jr., age 58, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Born in Cranston, the son of the late Russell D. and Delores (Gianfrocco) Sprague, he was a life-long Warwick resident. Russell was most recently employed at Action Auto Parts in Providence. He was previously employed at Stop & Shop in the Meadowbrook Plaza in Warwick for 14 years. He was an avid bowler and diehard sports fan. He frequented the Seekonk and Thompson Speedways.
He is survived by several cousins that he grew-up with in Warwick and throughout the state. He also leaves behind his German Shepherd, “Sheba,” who will be guarding “The Castle.”
A committal service was held on Tuesday, August 31, in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, 100 Harrison Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours were on Monday, August 30, at the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
