Roland J. Maynard, 80 of Hope passed away at home on October 3, 2020. He was the devoted husband of Carol (Moffitt) Maynard, RN for 56 years and the son of the late Josephat and Yvonne (Cardin) Maynard.

He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves and was a former Captain in the Kentish Guards, Rhode Island Militia of East Greenwich. A longtime member of the Pine Tree Gun Club he held NRA Indoor Pistol Sharpshooter and Expert Classifications in the past. Roland was an award-winning commercial photographer and owner of the Maynard Group of Warwick. His artistic talents were many including landscaping, woodworking and the ability to design, build or fix anything. Corvettes, motorcycles and cycling kept him moving, but most of all he enjoyed being at home, cooking the holiday meals, hosting pool parties, listening to the oldies, watching black and white classic movies, or cheering on the Patriots and Red Sox.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Timothy (Denise) of St. Louis, MO, Kristen Noonan of Warwick, and Kevin (Kathleen) of Chevy Chase, MD. His seven grandchildren were his pride and joy, the devoted Pop-Pop and Grandpa of Benjamin and John Maynard, Sean and Catherine Noonan, Maggie, Mollie, and Emma Maynard.

Visitation is respectfully omitted. Due to COVID-19, his funeral and burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, West Warwick.
