Robert F. Xavier, of Warwick and Summerfield, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in his Summerfield, FL home. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Doyle) Xavier.

Born in Providence on November 21, 1942, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Medeiros) Xavier, he lived in Warwick for the last 40 years, and was a seasonal resident of Florida for the last 6 years. Bob owned and operated Northern Products in Woonsocket, RI for over 40 years. He was also President of Marion Industries in Summerfield, Florida. Bob was a Boston Red Sox season ticket holder and an avid New England Patriots fan. His friends in Florida called him “Mr. Food” and a great conversationalist.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Xavier (Kristina) of Lynnfield, MA; two daughters, Nicole Xavier-McColl and Ann Marie Xavier, both of Warwick; his cherished grandchildren, Liam and Connor McColl of Warwick, and Desmond and Lily Xavier of Lynnfield, MA; a sister, Geraldine Phillips of Tiverton; and a brother, Richard Xavier of East Providence. He was the brother of the late Edward Xavier.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
