Ralph H. Millspaugh, Jr., 73, died Tuesday May 22, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Joyrene S. (Baker) Millspaugh.

Born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was a son of the late Ralph H. and Vivian (Radford) Millspaugh. He was a Warwick resident since 1978. Ralph was a graduate of North Providence High School, attended Cushing Academy and was a graduate of Roger Williams University. He had served as a probation officer with the Department of Corrections for over 30 years. While in college, he had spent summers working as a waiter at the Dunes Club. There, he had the privilege of meeting Claiborne Pell. He was an amazing gentleman who made an everlasting impression on Ralph.

He volunteered as an assistant hockey coach at Pilgrim High School. His father, Ralph Millspaugh, Sr. was a hockey coach at LaSalle Academy and passed down his love of the game to his son and his grandson Michael. He was a volunteer at the West Bay Community food pantry in Warwick and a mentor at Mentor Rhode Island. He was also a counselor in a support group for former inmates. Ralph was a devout Catholic who loved God, his family, and his friendships. He cherished a long friendship with Father Kevin J. Brassil. Like Father Brassil, Ralph always wanted to help others.

Besides his wife, he leaves his son Michael Millspaugh and his wife Un Jung, his stepson Todd Osbaldeston, his stepdaughter Lisa Zimmermann, and he was the father of the late Beverly Zelnick. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Allison, Mirissa, and Madison Millspaugh and his sister Carol White and her husband Craig.

His funeral service and burial with military honors will be private at the convenience of the family.
