CITY OF WARWICK
PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws 45-24-53 that a Public Hearing will be held virtually via Zoom Application on August 17, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
The following options are available to access this meeting:
You may access or participate in the meeting using the Zoom Application on a smart device or on a PC via the Web at zoom.us and clicking on JOIN A MEETING in the upper right of the page. Webinar ID: 978 8786 9794.

You will then need to While everyone joining the meeting will be muted, if at the appropriate time during the proceedings you wish to ask a question, you may: If using a smart phone or a PC – click on the “Raise Hand” icon. The meeting moderator will then ask for the participant having raised their hand to be unmuted. After the question, answer, and any further discussion, the participant will be muted again and will need to click on the Raise Hand icon or punch in *9 to ask another question.
If phoning in – punch *9 on the touchtone keypad. The moderator will indicate when it is your turn to comment/ask a question
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the proposed ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Official Zoning Map as summarized below:

Applicants: Marina Realty Inc.

Assessor’s Plat: 365

Assessor’s Lot: Lot 172, 158-166

Location: Shattock Ave

Present Classification: WB and A-10 & A7

Zone Change Requested: WB and A-7 & A-10

Reason for Proposed Change: To provide WB Zoning for land Marina Realty Inc. has traditionally used for 60 years but acquired two years ago.

A complete copy of the proposed amendment may be examined on-line at the City of Warwick’s web page and/or copied, at cost, in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Warwick, Rhode Island Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. The proposed ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any alteration or amendment will be presented for comment in the course of the hearing.

All persons interested in the above are respectfully requested to be present at that time and place to be heard thereon. Individuals requesting interpreter service for the hearing impaired must notify the office of the City Clerk at 738-2006, 72 hours in advance of the hearing date.
