The Pontiac Village Association will host a meet-the-candidates event at the Pontiac Village Park on Friday, Aug. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Ward 8 City Councilman Anthony Sinapi, Ward 8 City Council Candidate Dan Elliot, District 20 State Representative David Bennett and State Senate District 31 candidates Kendra Anderson, Brian Ducnkley and Mike Mita will be in attendance. Visitors can ask the candidates about their campaigns and platforms. Patricia Picinich of the Pontiac Village Association said that even more candidates may also attend.
The event will also feature a hot dog and Italian ice cart, as well as hand sanitizer.
