Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter (FOWAS) is holding a pet-themed mask fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pet Supplies Plus, 171 Sockanosset Cross Road, Cranston.
All masks have been donated to FOWAS so 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit homeless, stray, abandoned, injured and unwanted animals at the Warwick Animal Shelter.
Almost 20 different pet designs were custom-made in Rhode Island by a local artisan/designer. An animal-loving supporter donated the masks to our organization to help raise some much needed funds for the shelter animals. Masks are breathable all-cotton, two-ply, handmade and individually bagged.
Masks will not be available for purchase until Oct. 3. Cash payment is preferred. Masks are $15 each or two for $25, and no sales tax.
