Paul T. “Tim” Wholey, 68, passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2019 after a long battle with dementia and a stroke, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Theresa A. (DeStefano) Wholey.

He was the son of the late A. Paul and J. (Goff) Wholey and grandson of the late Timothy and Elizabeth (Skeffington) Wholey and the late Albert and Ethel (Perham) Goff. Before his illness, Mr. Wholey was an avid reader, loved video games, fishing and watching badly made movies. A retired machinist, Mr. Wholey loved spending time with his wife, doing anything or just sitting together doing nothing.

The family would like to thank everyone at VNA Hospice Care of New England for their caring and support during this time, especially the extraordinary nurses and aides.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer A. Wholey of Cranston and Dennis M. and Jessica L. (Mersereau) Wholey of Warwick. He was the brother of Pamela A. and Thomas Gelfusco of North Providence and Joan M. Wholey of Block Island. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Phillip M. Wholey of Pennsylvania, Sarah E. Wholey, Connor L. Wholey and Nathan P. Wholey, all of Warwick.

Arrangements will be announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the VNA Hospice Care or the Alzheimer/Dementia Foundation.
