The Ocean State Center for Independent Living will host a free Lunch & Learn Workshops in June.
This month’s workshops are specifically for men living with disability who would like to share in an open and honest dialogue about the issues they face in today’s society. Topics may include dating, relationships, mental health, tips on finding employment and more. What’s on your mind?
Out of respect for the participants and topics, this group is for men with disabilities only.
The workshops will be held Wednesday, June 26 at OSCIL, 1944 Warwick Ave., Warwick, from 12 to 2 p.m. and Thursday, June 27 at OSCIL, 175 Main Street, Pawtucket, from 12-2 p.m.
As part of OSCIL’s mission to provide outreach, education and opportunities for peer support, OSCIL offers these free Lunch and Learn workshops highlighting various solutions that can increase access in your home and community.
Advance registration is required; call 738-1013 or email heather.schey@oscil.org if you plan to attend. Seating is limited. Lunch (pizza) and beverages will be served. A male sign language interpreter has been secured at both locations.
