Lynn Potter-Vosselman, age 87, of Warwick, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, joining her beloved husband Otto Henry (Hank) Vosselman.

She was born Lynn Madison Mason on March 12, 1931 in Providence, RI to Evelyn Mae Marsh and Joseph Madison Jacques. A lifelong Warwick resident, she attended Pontiac Grammar School, James T. Lockwood High School, and Felt & Tarrant School of Business. Her chosen career began in March of 1958 as a receptionist for Metro Construction and Engineering Incorporated. She retired as Metro’s Senior Vice President exactly thirty years later in March of 1988. She was an active participant in Leadership Warwick, the Warwick Chamber of Commerce, Volunteers of Warwick Schools, and twice served as President of the RI Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. She was also one of the “Founding Mothers” of the Elizabeth Buffam Chase Shelter (EBC House) for abused women and children. She was an avid traveler; her favorite destinations included Spain, Germany and Hawaii, where she and Hank were married on Maha’ulepu Beach.

She was the cherished wife of fifty years of her high school sweetheart, William Wallace Potter. They are survived by two daughters, Lauralyn (Laurie) J. Potter of Warwick and Robin M. Castagna of Greeley, CO, as well as three beloved grandchildren: Melissa L. Potter, Brendan J. Castagna and Kaylee L. Castagna. Lynn is also survived by her sister Merle Faith Brayton of Virginia, her brother Peter Jacques of RI, She was a sisiter of the late Elayne L. Dolphin of RI and the late Fred A. Jacques of Texas. Lynn will also be forever remembered by her companion, Winthrop Horton Richardson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
