To the Editor:
On reading the obituary of Leo G. Perrone, I just have to give credit to this man who was the former executive director of Warwick Community Action. He was responsible for what is now the Health Center, the care of the homeless population, daily meals site and the encouragement of the ability of the elderly such as Foster Grandparents and the Pilgrim Senior Center.
In addition, he found time to devote service to St. Rita’s Parish in Oakland Beach, assisted making out annual tax returns at Warwick Public Library and was a referee at basketball games. Our sincere sympathy to his family for someone who gave such efforts to the city of Warwick.
Regina Richard
