Kevin M. Millea, 65, of Warwick, passed away Saturday evening at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Holly (Chaplin) Millea.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John J. and Alice J. (McElroy) Millea. Kevin was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 618, for over thirty-five years and served as Secretary/Treasurer for twenty-nine years. He also served as Secretary/Treasurer of the ATU New England Joint Conference, where he was a skilled negotiator on health care and retirement issues. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Bryant College. He was an avid sports fan. He loved watching the Boston Celtics and the Boston Red Sox. He coached his children’s baseball and basketball teams for many years. He loved spending his summers in Narragansett with his family and friends where he enjoyed going to the beach and playing cards.

In addition to his wife Holly, of thirty-four years, he leaves his children, Mia A. Millea, Matthew C. Millea and Madalyn R. Millea; two brothers, Daniel J. Millea and William A. Millea and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John A. Millea.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., at Saint Peter’s Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Cemetery, Warwick. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 4:00–8:00 p.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt 117) Warwick.
